The top 3 finishers may be awarded prizes. Points may be awarded for event totals and yearly totals.<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 class=\"font_8\">\n<span>Free Hanging Rope Cut \u2013 This will be an elimination style cut.\u00a0 The top 3 cutters may be awarded prizes. Points may be awarded for event totals and yearly totals. In case of a tie awards will be shared.<\/span><span><span class=\"wixGuard\">\u200b<\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<\/h3>\n<h3 class=\"font_8\"><span>Multi Station Course \u2013 The course will be designed on a per event basis. This will be a timed event.\u00a0\u00a0 The top 3 finishers may be awarded prizes. Points may be awarded for event totals and yearly totals.<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 class=\"font_8\"><span>Single Station Multi-cut \u2013 This event will have a single table where different cuts will be set-up \u2014 2 x 4, rope cut and other cuts as determined by event officials. Prizes may be awarded to the top 3 Cutters. A competition may include any or all event types. Space requirements will be provided by Event Sponsors for each type of event.<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 class=\"font_8\"><span>New events may be added to BladeSports competitions. Space requirements will be determined as new events are planned.<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 class=\"font_8\"><span>A competition site must be provided by a sponsor that offers adequate space for the planned events.<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 class=\"font_8\"><span>Barriers will be placed for crowd control and event assistants will be located at strategic locations to halt an event should spectators cross the control boundaries.<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/tailor:tailor_content:5b59de86e7eb1 --><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/tailor:tailor_box:5b59de86e7eb2 --><!-- tailor:tailor_box:5b59de86e7eb4 -->\n<div  class=\"tailor-element tailor-box tailor-box--icon tailor-5b59de86e7eb4\">\n<div class=\"tailor-box__content\"><!-- tailor:tailor_content:5b59de86e7eb3 -->\n<div  class=\"tailor-element tailor-content tailor-5b59de86e7eb3\">\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/tailor:tailor_content:5b59de86e7eb3 --><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/tailor:tailor_box:5b59de86e7eb4 --><!-- tailor:tailor_box:5b59de86e7eb6 -->\n<div  class=\"tailor-element tailor-box tailor-box--icon tailor-5b59de86e7eb6\">\n<div class=\"tailor-box__content\"><!-- tailor:tailor_content:5b59de86e7eb5 -->\n<div  class=\"tailor-element tailor-content tailor-5b59de86e7eb5\">\n<h1>Event Procedures<\/h1>\n<h3 class=\"font_8\"><span>Event Officials will inspect all knives prior to the start of each competition for adherence to BladeSports knife specifications.<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 class=\"font_8\">\n<span>A cutter may sharpen his\/her knife between separate events but not during an event between cuts. Example: A knife may be sharpened between a qualifying event and the main competition event. A knife may not be sharpened between the 2\u00d74 Cut and the Rope Cut (or any subsequent cuts) during a multi-cut event.<\/span><span><span class=\"wixGuard\">\u200b<\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<\/h3>\n<h3 class=\"font_8\"><span>A competitor may challenge a call from an official.\u00a0Event officials will evaluate the challenge and make a ruling. Competitors must abide by the ruling.<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 class=\"font_8\"><span>One official will start each cut.<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 class=\"font_8\"><span>Any official may stop any cut.<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 class=\"font_8\"><span>A time\/point penalty will follow any minor deviation from procedure or cut instructions.<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 class=\"font_8\"><span>Penalties will be administered for any safety, rules or procedure infraction. These will range from a warning up to and including loss of Cutter Certification.<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 class=\"font_8\"><span>A competitor may refuse a cut if there is a question of safety or fairness.
